Merry Christmas 2013

How time flies!!  Seems just like a few weeks ago that I was doing my annual Christmas letter and here it is December 2013 and it’s time for another letter.  Things are pretty much the same for the Wommacks except we are all older—and hopefully wiser!!

Lee and I are still busy.  Lee is again on the board of Bronte Health and Rehab Center, the Longhorn Golf Club Board (no, he does not play golf!!), Bronte Economic Development Board, several committees at First Baptist Church, and he still spends lots of time at his “Playground”.  I belong to FBC Shawl Ministry, a book club, study/service club, Red Hat Society, sub at both Bronte and Blackwell ISD, and still enjoy sewing, quilting, and other handwork.

LeAnn and Ryan are still in Ft. Worth.  LeAnn teaches biology at North Crowley 9th Grade Campus and Ryan is Assistant Principal at H.F. Stevens Midle School.  Anna is in the 4th grade and Ada is in the 2nd grade at St. Peter's Classical School.

Jim and Carman are still at Big Spring--guess they plan to stay because they just purchaed a home.  Jim is Associate Principal and Carman teaches 8th grade ELA and sponsors the yearbook at Big Spring Jr. High.  Jordan is in the 6th grade at BSJH and is on the Student Council and is in Golden Girls.  Carter goes to "school" (day care) at Howard Cottage at Howard College.

Lee and I continue to be blessed with good health, adequate income, wonderful family, fabulous friends and we wish the same for each of you.

Summer 2013

Summer 2013 was a busy fun time.  Summer started with Jordan coming to Bronte the last few days of school---she and PaLee and Marmoo were anxious to get the summer started.  Both kids and their families were here several times during the summer.

LeAnn, Anna, and Ada came to Bronte June 17 and LeAnn went to Bookies (my book club) with me.  The next day we drove to Odessa to her orthodontist appointment and on the way we stopped by Sunset Memorial Gardens to show the girls where PaBud and Giggie are buried.  We had to look for the location and about the time we found it, Ada came up with a bouquet of silk flowers---which hopefully were lying on the ground after being blown off an unknown grave!!  Needless to say they decorated PaBud's and Giggie's graves.

Jordan went to a girls' science camp at Tech June24-27.  I rode to Lubbock with Jim and Carter to pick her up on Thursday.  What fun I had being driven around the campus--saw little that looked familiar to me.
Jordan at her dorm room.

Well--Will Rogers is still "Riding into the Sunset"!!
When I was treasurer of Alpha Phi in the late 50s, I wrote a check each month to InterFraternity Countil (?) to pay for land for Greek lodges.  Years later Alpha Phi drew #1 Greek Circle.

Carter is having a little trouble "getting her gun up"!!

On Wednesday, July 31, Carman, Jordan, Carter and I drove to Ft. Worth and met LeAnn, Anna, and Ada at Taco Villa in Benbrook.  From there we drove to Great Wolf Lodge.  The water park is wet AND busy so I have no pictures at the water fun!!

Carter went to Red Hat at Fort Chadbourne with me- - -
I have on my red hat and Carter has on her pink hat (borrowed from Jordan)

A saddle just her size.

She got in the stagecoach and became a "princess".  Guess it does look like a princess coach, doesn't it?

Our neice Debbie Davis Brown and her daughter Laken came to swim one afternoon.
