Summer 2013

Summer 2013 was a busy fun time.  Summer started with Jordan coming to Bronte the last few days of school---she and PaLee and Marmoo were anxious to get the summer started.  Both kids and their families were here several times during the summer.

LeAnn, Anna, and Ada came to Bronte June 17 and LeAnn went to Bookies (my book club) with me.  The next day we drove to Odessa to her orthodontist appointment and on the way we stopped by Sunset Memorial Gardens to show the girls where PaBud and Giggie are buried.  We had to look for the location and about the time we found it, Ada came up with a bouquet of silk flowers---which hopefully were lying on the ground after being blown off an unknown grave!!  Needless to say they decorated PaBud's and Giggie's graves.

Jordan went to a girls' science camp at Tech June24-27.  I rode to Lubbock with Jim and Carter to pick her up on Thursday.  What fun I had being driven around the campus--saw little that looked familiar to me.

Well--Will Rogers is still "Riding into the Sunset"!!
When I was treasurer of Alpha Phi in the late 50s, I wrote a check each month to InterFraternity Countil (?) to pay for land for Greek lodges.  Years later Alpha Phi drew #1 Greek Circle.

Carter is having a little trouble "getting her gun up"!!

On Wednesday, July 31, Carman, Jordan, Carter and I drove to Ft. Worth and met LeAnn, Anna, and Ada at Taco Villa in Benbrook.  From there we drove to Great Wolf Lodge.  The water park is wet AND busy so I have no pictures at the water fun!!

Carter went to Red Hat at Fort Chadbourne with me- - -
I have on my red hat and Carter has on her pink hat (borrowed from Jordan)

A saddle just her size.

She got in the stagecoach and became a "princess".  Guess it does look like a princess coach, doesn't it?

Our neice Debbie Davis Brown and her daughter Laken came to swim one afternoon.
